NuGlasgow is a personal, non-commercial project providing hyperlocal news coverage of Glasgow's urban development, planning applications, and regeneration projects. The site is operated by an individual based in the United Kingdom.
NuGlasgow is mostly a read-only website. We do not:
The one exception is the “Spotted something wrong?” correction form on a site’s map panel, which we cover in full below.
There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. The site stores three things in your browser, all of them needed to do what you asked:
If we ever add something that tracks visitors we will ask first.
The round button in the bottom corner lets you suggest a feature or report a bug. It is anonymous — it asks for no name or email, so please don’t put personal details in the text. What you write, and a screenshot if you choose to add one, is filed in our private issue tracker on GitHub (GitHub, Inc.), which processes it on our behalf. If you tick the box to include technical details, your browser type, screen size, the page address and recent browser console messages are sent too, with anything that looks like an email address or a login token blanked out first. Screenshots are deleted from our storage after 30 days.
If you tell us something on the map is wrong, the form asks for your name and email address alongside what’s wrong and any detail you add. This is the only place on NuGlasgow that collects personal data.
Why we collect it: so an editor can follow up with you — to ask a clarifying question, or to let you know what we changed.
Lawful basis: your consent, given by ticking the checkbox before you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in correcting factual errors in what we publish.
Retention: once an editor has reviewed your report, we keep your name and email for 12 months in case we need to follow up, then remove them — the correction itself (what was wrong, and what we did about it) is kept for the record, but no longer linked to you.
Deletion on request: you can ask us to delete your name and email at any time, sooner than the 12 months above, by emailing hello@nuglasgow.site.
We do not use your name or email for anything other than following up on the correction you reported — no mailing lists, no marketing.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
